Martin Edelman is AGT International’s Chairman. With more than 30 years’ experience in international real estate, corporate transactions and the hospitality industry, Mr. Edelman is currently of counsel to Paul Hastings LLP, where his focus has been large, complex transactions, including cross-border transactions. He has been involved in all stages of legal development of pioneering financial structures, including participating debt instruments, institutional joint ventures in real estate and joint ventures between U.S. financial sources and European real estate companies. He has also done extensive work in Europe, Canada, Mexico, Japan, the Middle East and Latin America. He is a frequent speaker at international conferences. Mr. Edelman is on the Board of Directors of Capital Trust, Avis Budget Group, Inc. and Ashford Hospitality Trust, Inc. He is on the advisory board at Columbia University’s Business School. Mr. Edelman is an advisor to Grove Real Estate Partners, The Related Companies and Fisher Brothers. He is on the boards of the Jackie Robinson Foundation, The Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund and the Fisher House Foundation. Mr. Edelman graduated from Princeton University and Columbia Law School.
President, Product & Technology Group
Geoff Baird is President, Product & Technology Group at AGT International. He has 25 years’ experience in the high- tech industry, having driven growth and product strategies for start-ups and F500 companies. Mr. Baird has served as CEO of telecommunications firms Commtag, Xtempus and Psion. Immediately before joining AGT, Mr. Baird was VP, Global Product Operations at Avaya, where he oversaw $1B P&L and 500 global employees, reengineered the supply chain and achieved operational excellence. Mr. Baird received his MBA from the London Business School and a BSc in Cybernetics from the University of Reading.
Pieter-Christiaan van Oranje-Nassau
CEO & Country Head, AGT Netherlands
Pieter-Christiaan (PC) van Oranje-Nassau is Vice President, Business Development and Country Manager, AGT Netherlands at AGT International. His experience includes work at Equity Capital Markets in London, a joint venture between ABN AMRO and NM Rothschild. He is also Chairman of the Dutch Association of Security Managers (VBN), a Board member at the Dutch Red Cross and a former Lieutenant Colonel of the Directorate of Operations of the Royal Military and Border Police Staff in Holland. PC obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) from Utrecht University and an MBA from the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Switzerland.
Chief Operating Officer & Head of Global Services
Manny Burko is Chief Operating Officer and Head of Global Services at AGT International. A CPA with 30 years of experience in high-tech, project-focused organizations, Mr. Burko manages AGT’s global delivery, engineering, professional services and supply chain functions and has overseen significant improvements in both operating efficiency and performance. Prior to joining AGT, Mr. Burko was a partner at Ernst and Young; Vice President, Finance at a publicly traded electro-optical subsystems developer; and CEO/COO of a leading venture-capital hedge fund with 15 clients’ assets under management. Mr. Burko holds a BA in Economics and Accounting.
Chief Finance Officer
Tony Plesner is Chief Finance Officer (CFO) at AGT International, overseeing all finance and strategic business operations related to AGT’s global expansion. He served as EVP, Finance since joining the company in 2012. Mr. Plesner was previously CFO at IntraLinks, a global provider of content management and collaboration solutions, where he led the company through several transformative capital-raising events, including an LBO and subsequent IPO. He also oversaw upgrades to staff, systems, processes, controls and policies that facilitated fourfold revenue growth (to $200MM) and significantly stronger profits during his seven years with the company. Mr. Plesner’s experience includes COO and CFO positions at several global software and media companies, including key operating entities at Reuters (now Thomson Reuters), 24/7 Real Media, Medscape (now WebMD), thenewsmarket.com and Confer Software. Mr. Plesner received his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a BA in Economics from Manchester University (UK).
Chief Business Officer & President of Global Sales & Solutions
Jens Wegmann is Chief Business Officer & President of Global Sales & Solutions at AGT International, providing support around corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions and the development of new business alliances. He heads the company’s Energy, Water & Infrastructure and Oil & Gas Business Units. Mr. Wegmann has more than 20 years of international leadership experience and is a recognized expert in the security industry. He was previously CEO of Siemens’s Industry Solutions and Global Security Solutions Divisions. Mr. Wegmann holds an Abitur from Schiller-Gymnasium Hameln and a Masters in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Braunschweig. He also completed a Diploma Thesis in Research and Development of Industrial Robotics at Siemens and is a graduate of Harvard Business School.
Chief Human Resources Officer
Aviva Arnon is the Chief Human Resources Officer for AGT International. Prior to AGT, she was Director of Human Resources at Nice Systems, Inc. following a successful career as Chief Human Resource Officer and Managing Director at a number of other international companies. Ms. Arnon holds a BA in Psychology, an MA in Experimental Psychology and a PhD ABD in Business Management.
Chief Information Officer
Samer Ghanem is CIO of AGT International. Formerly the company’s Global VP of IT Systems, Mr. Ghanem is a seasoned technology executive with more than 15 years’ experience enhancing business operations through smart, efficient use of technology. His areas of expertise include global IT strategy and operations management, enterprise system architecture, design and integration, IT infrastructure and IT risk management. Before joining AGT, Mr. Ghanem was an entrepreneur and IT consultant at BMW Group, The New York Times, the United Nations and Applied Technologies International. He holds a Master’s In Technology Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s in Management from the University of Alexandria in Egypt.
Chief of Staff and President for New Initiatives
Danna Rabin is Chief of Staff and President for New Initiatives at AGT International. Ms. Rabin joined the company following a successful 12-year career at Comverse, a business enablement software provider, where she held several senior executive roles, including Senior VP, Head of Global Services and Head of Global Business Operations. At Comverse, Ms. Rabin oversaw P&L and managed the company’s global business strategy, as well as business plan control tools and methodologies. Ms. Rabin holds a BA in Economics.
Joachim Schaper, PhD
Vice President & Head, Research Organization
Joachim Schaper is Vice President & Head, Research Organization at AGT International. Having created the company’s global research organization in Darmstadt, Mr. Schaper leads collaboration between internal-external researchers and business organizations to find innovative solutions for the global safety and security marketplace. Mr. Schaper’s research interests include information management and extraction, user interface technologies and IT security. Before joining AGT International, Mr. Schaper was Vice President, Research, EMEA at SAP AG. He holds a Doctorate (PhD) in Computer Science from Universität Karlsruhe (TH).
Chief Portfolio and Marketing Officer
Amir Pushinsky is the Chief Portfolio and Marketing Officer of AGT International and Head of Corporate Marketing. He was the former Vice President of Marketing at Comverse, a publicly traded technology company. Mr. Pushinsky has over 20 years’ experience in management and leadership roles across many industries, including extensive experience in banking. He also currently serves as a board member in various corporate and non-profit organizations.
Yehuda Herbst is General Counsel at AGT International. An international lawyer with strong cross-border transactional and corporate experience, Mr. Herbst’s expertise includes private equity-related transactions and complex investments as well as the negotiation of agreements across all aspects of commercial activity. He also has experience establishing domestic and foreign investment funds and other alternative investment structures. Mr. Herbst holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, an LL.B and an MBA.
SVP, Head of Global Software Development
Wolfgang Hilpert is Senior Vice President, Head of Global Software Development at AGT International. An executive leader with more than 20 years of experience identifying and understanding global business-technology needs, Mr. Hilpert has a track record of delivering revenue-generating technologies in diverse and dynamic environments. Mr. Hilpert led distributed product development organizations at software industry leaders IBM, Microsoft and SAP. Leveraging his passion for lean and agile software methodologies, he initiated the lean transformation of the technology platform development organization at SAP. Mr. Hilpert earned a Masters in Mechanical Engineering and Business Administration from the Technical University of Darmstadt and an Abitur in Mathematics and Physics from Kreisgymnasium Bargteheide.
