Mr. Kochavi is an entrepreneur and investor who founded AGT and serves as Chairman and CEO. In addition to AGT, he has started and manages a diverse portfolio of leading companies around the world, focusing on innovative emerging technologies and new media & entertainment. He created Vocativ, a media & technology venture that explores the deep web to discover original stories and hidden perspectives & trends. Vocativ is one of the fastest-growing producers of original content delivered via the social web and also produces rich new content for traditional media. He also established Moonscape Ventures to fund initiatives that leverage the IoT & Big Data; enhance everyday life through smarter cities; and power the changing news, media and entertainment landscapes.
Robert Wenig is Chief Technology Officer at AGT International, where he oversees all scientific and technology issues affecting the company’s IP, including its proprietary IoT analytics and applications, and oversees product strategy. Before joining AGT, Robert spent more than a decade as Founder, CTO and a member of the Board at Tealeaf, a customer experience management software company spun-off from SAP (where he was a technical fellow) and sold to IBM in 2012. He is the winner of two Smithsonian Awards for Innovation and holds more than a dozen patents. Robert was “doing big data” long before it was popular. Robert holds a BS in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University and an Executive MBA from the University of San Francisco’s Masagung Graduate School of Management.
As Head of Media Solutions, Danna leads AGT’s media strategy and related activities. Danna also acts as COO for Vocativ (www.vocativ.com) a media and technology venture that explores the deep web to discover unique content. She previously served as Chief of Staff and President of New Initiatives for AGT International. Danna joined the company following a successful 12-year career at Comverse, a business enablement software provider, where she held several senior executive roles, including SVP, Head of Global Services and Head of Global Business Operations, overseeing P&L and managing the company’s global business strategy. Danna holds a BA in Economics.
At AGT International, Tony Plesner oversees all finance, investment and strategic business operations related to AGT’s global expansion. He served as EVP, Finance since joining the company in 2012. Tony was previously CFO at IntraLinks, a global provider of content management and collaboration solutions, where he led the company through several transformative capital-raising events over his seven-year tenure, including an LBO and subsequent IPO. He also oversaw upgrades to staff, systems, processes, controls and policies that facilitated fourfold revenue growth (to $200MM) and significantly stronger profits during. Tony’s experience includes COO and CFO positions at several global software and media companies, including key operating entities at Reuters (now Thomson Reuters), 24/7 Real Media, Medscape (now WebMD), thenewsmarket.com and Confer Software. Tony received his MBA from the University of Pittsburgh and a BA in Economics from Manchester University (UK).
Joachim Schaper is Senior Vice President & Head, Research Organization at AGT International. Having created the company’s global research organization in Darmstadt, Joachim leads collaboration between internal-external researchers and business organizations to find innovative solutions for the Connected Events, Connected Business and Connected Cities domains. Joachim’s research interests include information management and extraction, advanced analytics , user interface technologies and data privacy. Before joining AGT International, Joachim was Vice President, Research, EMEA at SAP AG. He holds a Doctorate (PhD) in Computer Science from Universität Karlsruhe (TH).
Yehuda Herbst is General Counsel at AGT International. An international lawyer with strong cross-border transactional and corporate experience, Yehuda’s expertise includes private equity-related transactions and complex investments as well as the negotiation of agreements across all aspects of commercial activity. He also has experience establishing domestic and foreign investment funds and other alternative investment structures. Yehuda holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, an LL.B and an MBA.
Dr. Thomas Bader is VP for IoT Analytics at AGT International, based in AGT’s R&D center in Darmstadt, Germany. He is responsible for development of innovative data analytics modules that generate insights from IoT and deep web data across diverse IoT verticals. He and his team of data scientists have successfully delivered a variety of innovative IoT and data analytics, including machine learning based anomaly detection and novel prediction methods ranging from social networks to energy consumption. Prior to joining AGT, Thomas was employed in various positions in academic and applied research. At the Fraunhofer Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation he was responsible for interactive data analytics and novel human-computer interaction. Thomas holds a PhD in computer science from Karlsuhe Institute of Technology, Germany.
Geoff leads marketing for AGT, with particular focus on branding, communications, go-to-market & offering development. He has spent his career in leadership marketing roles at companies such as Mercury Interactive, Luminate, Tumbleweed, and for 12 years served as Chief Marketing Officer of Tealeaf (acquired in 2012 by IBM), where he lead the creation of a new strategic market category – digital customer experience management, focused on strategically enhancing the way consumers interact online, using advanced analytics, as the company grew from zero to more than $130M in revenues. At IBM, he was instrumental in the creation of the customer analytics strategy and the IBM ExperienceOne branding and portfolio architecture. Upon completion of the integration of Tealeaf into IBM, he served as Chief Marketing Officer of another IBM acquisition, Silverpop, prior to joining AGT.
As Chief Creative Officer, David Salter leverages more than twenty years’ entertainment industry experience as one of the key creatives responsible for some of the most successful films of our times to develop the new modes of storytelling made possible by AGT’s unique IoT platform and analytics. As an early hire at Pixar Animation Studios, David was one of a handful of pioneers applying the principles of live action film editorial to the new medium of computer animated feature films. He edited a number of films, including Toy Story 2 and Finding Nemo, and has been elected to membership in American Cinema Editors (ACE). David also developed a number of feature film properties for DreamWorks Animation and edited highly successful films and documentaries. He holds a Master of Fine Arts from the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Arts from Brandeis University.
Leveraging more than 20 years’ experience in the high-tech sector and expertise in the IoT, including sensors, data analytics, machine learning, video and information management systems, Gadi Lenz oversees AGT’s largest and most complex IoT projects for its government and corporate customers. Prior to his current role, Gadi spent eight years defining AGT’s technical strategy and placing it on course to be a leader in the IoT and analytics space. Previously, Gadi worked for Bell Labs, where he was a Member of Technical Staff (MTS) and conducted optics and other research in Bell’s Physical Sciences Labs. Gadi holds 17 patents, has published nearly 100 scientific peer-reviewed papers and co-founded an optical communications company that was sold to a large publicly traded optical communications equipment firm. He holds a BSc, MSc and PhD (the latter from MIT) in Electrical Engineering.
Dr. Kikiras is leading the IoT analytics group developing the next breed of IoT analytics for embedded, wearable and sensor systems. Prior to AGT, Panayotis held a number of leading positons in governmental agencies and in academia. He has significant expertise in managing complex European and national projects in the areas of homeland security and in the design, development and management of large-scale, sensor-based IT systems. He founded the Wireless Sensor Sensing Laboratory at the University of Thessaly in Greece. Panayotis has published more than 50 papers in scientific peer-reviewed journals and is a Senior Member of the IEEE. He holds an MSc in Management and Economics of Communication Networks from the University of Athens and an MSc and PHD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.
As Head of IoT Solutions , Ronen is responsible for the delivery, engineering and integration of AGT’s solutions for Connected Events, Connected Business and Connected Cities. Prior to joining AGT International, Ronen held different executive roles in leading technology corporates in the domains of intelligence platforms, data mining, video and data analytics, sensor, machine learning concept development and simulations, system development, engineering and system integration.
Ronen is a graduate of the Harvard University Business School Advanced Management Program, Tel Aviv Business College, where he earned his B. B. in Business Administration, and the IDF Computer Science Academy.
Vivian leads AGT’s social media strategy, is a longtime executive at the intersection of journalism, media and technology. Most recently, Schiller was the Global Chair of News at Twitter. In this role, she led the company’s strategy for news and partnership with journalism organizations and the news publishing ecosytem. Just prior to joining Twitter, Schiller served as Senior VP & Chief Digital Officer for NBC News where she had strategic and operational oversight of the networks‘ presence on the web, mobile, devices, and social media. Prior to NBC, Schiller served as President and CEO of NPR, leading all of NPR’s worldwide media operations,. She was Senior Vice President and General Manager of NYTimes.com and Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Discovery Times Channel, a joint venture of The New York Times and Discovery Communications. Earlier in her career, Schiller was the head of CNN Productions, where she led CNN’s long-form programming efforts. Documentaries and series produced under her auspices earned multiple honors, including three Peabody Awards, four Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University Awards, and dozens of Emmys.
Michal Adam-Daniel has responsibility for the entire HR function across the global network of AGT International companies. She is focused on integrating AGT’s human resources with business strategy and on talent recruitment and development. Previously, Michal held leadership positions at global HR units at Amdocs, Motorola, and Check Point where she built up talent for new technology initiatives and led HR in a way that integrated missions, culture and business results. Michal holds a B.A degree in Political Science and Geography as well as an MBA.
Dr.Keil oversees AGT’s global software development activities for its Connected Events, Connected Business and Connected City solutions. Ulrich joined AGT International from SAP AG, where he served in a variety of increasingly expansive development roles from 1998 to 2012. He spent eight years overseeing development and architecture for the SAP business workflow, which covered many major SAP modules from a business process perspective. He also focused on Agile methodology and tooling and worked in innovation management for SAP’s software-as-a-service division. Ulrich holds a Ph.D in pure mathematics cum laude from the University of Toulouse III, France and a masters degree in pure mathematics with a minor in electrical engineering at the Ruhr-Universität Bochum, Germany.
Samer Ghanem is CIO of AGT International. Formerly the company’s Global VP of IT Systems, Mr. Ghanem is a seasoned technology executive with more than 15 years’ experience enhancing business operations through smart, efficient use of technology. His areas of expertise include global IT strategy and operations management, enterprise system architecture, design and integration, IT infrastructure and IT risk management. Before joining AGT, Mr. Ghanem was an entrepreneur and IT consultant at BMW Group, The New York Times, the United Nations and Applied Technologies International. He holds a Master’s In Technology Management from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s in Management from the University of Alexandria in Egypt.
Nithai Barzam heads AGT’s IoT Offering business. In his position Nithai is responsible for product strategy, strategic partner’s management and strategic accounts management. Nithai joined AGT in 2007 and brings a proven record in establishing, running, and expanding business, operational and P&L units, from regional divisions to global operations groups and organizations. He led sales operations, solution concepts, customer solution management and proposal management. Prior to joining AGT, Nithai served as vice president of the Solutions Group at NICE Systems and had overall responsibility for working with customers and providing consultation, training, and solution architecture and customization. He also held various roles at AMDOCS with overall P&L responsibility for Amdocs’ North American programs. Nithai holds a BSc in Mathematics and Computer Sciences.
